We are based in the Generator Building within the Finzels Reach area of central Bristol – situated in a harbourside setting with just a 5min walk to Cabot Circus and a 10min walk to the train station. The Generator Building is grade II listed structure modernly restored to celebrate its heritage features and history, providing an appropriate fit to our business capability and culture.

We are looking for a Degree Apprentice to join our business at an exciting phase of growth and matriculation where our people are valued and empowered to support our development.

You will join a high performing environment which aims to inspire, nurture and reward our people.   We recognise that our people are by far our most important asset and thus our philosophy is that we hire great people and empower and support them in achieving their goals.

Responsibilites

  • Participate with surveys pertaining to assessment, repairs/strengthening, and design

  • Support geometric design of structures

  • Assist with the programme and deliverables of your projects

  • Author design and survey drawings

  • Report writing and assist in production of technical reports and documents

  • Develop towards further responsibilities with experience

Minimum Requirements

  • A-levels in Maths, Physis + Other at BBC grades or above

  • Specific interest to pursue career in bridge engineering

  • Willing and able to work towards chartership with the Institute of Civil Engineers (ICE) or Institute of Structural Engineers (IStructE)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate concepts with clarity and confidence

  • Willingness to travel throughout the UK to undertake site visits

  • Clean UK driving license
