We are based in the Generator Building within the Finzels Reach area of central Bristol – situated in a harbourside setting with just a 5min walk to Cabot Circus and a 10min walk to the train station. The Generator Building is grade II listed structure modernly restored to celebrate its heritage features and history, providing an appropriate fit to our business capability and culture.
We are looking for a Engineer to join our business at an exciting phase of growth and matriculation where our people are valued and empowered to support our development.

Responsibilities
Authoring role in the design of new bridge structures including analysis and detailing
Inspection, assessment and strengthening of road/rail bridges and other structures
Participate/lead examinations and surveys pertaining to assessment, repairs/strengthening, and design
Support recent graduates, undergraduates and apprentices
Assist senior leaders in developing all aspects of the business
Work towards chartered status with ICE or IStructE
Minimum Requirements
Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering at least 2-1 classification
2 years plus post graduate experience in bridges discipline
Previous experience in examination, assessment, and design of bridge structures
Previous experience in authoring Health & Safety documentation for site work and design development
Working knowledge of Eurocode, British & DMRB standards
Willingness to travel throughout the UK to undertake site visits
Preferred Requirements
3 years plus post graduate experience in bridges discipline
Experience in planning and leading examination of bridge structures including STE4 and similar competences
Working towards ICE or IStructE chartered accreditation
Working knowledge of reinforced concrete and/or steel design
Working knowledge of temporary works design
Working knowledge of non-linear buckling Finite Element Analysis
Clean UK driving license
